EINDHOVEN LIGHTTOWN
Did you know that Eindhoven's nickname “Lighttown” comes from the match industry? Named after the flame (light) of the match.
Even before Philips came to Eindhoven, starting in 1870, the match played an important role in Eindhoven. At that time, matchmaking was the city's largest employer with production for the whole world. The match is a Swedish invention from 1844. Eindhoven was conveniently located due to the presence of poplars and labor.In 1967, another new match factory was built in Eindhoven. On December 31, 1979, match production stopped in Eindhoven and was centralized in Sweden.
Built on this history, therefore, there can only be one place where Brandbox Twenty has its headquarters, in Lighttown Eindhoven.
